Exciting Times For Futsal Fans

There have been some exciting tournaments lately in the Futsal World.
2012 UEFA Futsal Euro: This past February was the Qualifying Round of the 2012 UEFA Futsal Euro.  Spain, Azerbaijan, Russia, Serbia, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Ukrain, Turkey, Italy and Slovenia moved on and will join host Croatia in February 2012 UEFA Futsal Euro Final Tournament.  Each of the 4 Groups will have 3 teams.  UEFA.com: Seeds announced for Zagreb futsal draw

2010/2011 UEFA Futsal Cup: The best futsal teams across Europe competed in several stages.  Earlier this month the final 4 club teams Host Kairat, Sporting, Montesillvano and defending 2009/2010 Champion Benfica competed in this exciting final round.  Montesillvano came in first place, Sporting came in second, Host Kairat came in third and defending champion came in fourth.  Montesillvano is the 2010-2011 UEFA Futsal Cup Champion.  UEFA.com: Montesilvano crowned Futsal Cup champions

First Qualifier for the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup: The Oceania Football Confederation became the first qualifier of the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup.  The OFC Futsal Championship was held May 16-20 in Fiji. 
OFC will be represented by the Solomon Islands at the FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012 after Solomon Islands defeated Tahiti 6-4 in a dramatic final of the OFC Futsal Championship in Suva.  Congratulations to Solomon.  Solomon Islands qualified for the 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Brazil.  For more information Link To OFC Website.  Their website has all the news of this exciting tournament.
